Hot, hot, hot!

It seems the housing market in Boulder County is as hot as the weather. We started the summer off with so many vacant homes to stage that we had to buy more furniture to get the jobs done. With the new owner incentive gone, and the state of the economy still questionable, we wondered how long these homes would be on the market. I am pleased, and proud, to say we are unstaging at a rapid rate. Yay for us! The furniture, etc., is piling up and we are really looking forward to putting it to good use. Maybe in your home?

The Wow Factor-More Home Staging Secrets

I've heard it said a buyer makes the decision to purchase a home (or not) within the first 30 seconds. That means you need to impress them immediately! Try using a technique we like to call "shake it off." Step outside your front door, close it, take a deep breath and when you re-enter  imagine you are a buyer walking in for the first time. What do you notice right away? If you see clutter, too much empty space or hand prints on the walls you've got some work to do.

I'm here to help you sell your house. Really! My daughter & I have been professional home stagers in Colorado for many years and have seen our fair share of disasters. Look on any MLS and you will see more bad photos and poorly presented homes than you will see well-staged ones. We say it all the time; the way you live in your home and the way you sell your home are two completely different things.
